Discovering My Passion at SP Jain: A Journey Through the Masters in Global Luxury Management

Hello,  It’s Bhumika from "Lifestyle of Bhumika," and today I’m diving into my experience at SP Jain School of Global Management, Wadala, where I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Global Luxury Management (MGLuxM). If you’ve ever dreamt of being part of the glamorous world of luxury brands, this one’s for you!

Why I Chose the MGLuxM Program?

Luxury has always fascinated me—the attention to detail, the heritage, and the sheer elegance of it all. I knew that if I wanted to make a mark in this industry, I needed a solid foundation. After a lot of research, I found that SP Jain’s MGLuxM program was the perfect fit for me. It promised not just theoretical knowledge but also real-world insights into the global luxury market.

The Global Perspective

One of the first things that struck me about this program is its global approach. We don’t just study luxury from an Indian perspective; we explore markets in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. This international exposure is crucial because luxury is truly a global industry. Understanding how different cultures perceive luxury and what drives consumer behavior in various regions is incredibly enriching.

A Truly Global Experience: India to Italy

What makes this program even more unique is that it’s split into two parts. The first six months are spent at the SP Jain Wadala campus, and the next six months will be in Milan, Italy, at Polimi University. This partnership with Polimi University is a game-changer. Milan is one of the fashion capitals of the world, and studying there will immerse us in the European luxury market. I can’t wait to experience the Italian way of luxury, from iconic fashion houses to legendary craftsmanship.

Learning from the Best

At SP Jain, we’re not just learning from textbooks. The faculty includes industry veterans who bring their vast experience into the classroom. We’ve had guest lectures from leaders at top luxury brands, and these sessions are gold mines of information. Plus, the school’s strong industry connections mean that we get plenty of opportunities to network, attend luxury events, and even secure internships with leading brands.

 A Curriculum Tailored to Luxury

The MGLuxM curriculum is a blend of luxury-specific courses and business management fundamentals. We cover everything from luxury brand management and consumer behavior to digital marketing strategies for high-end products. The courses are designed to give us a 360-degree view of the luxury sector, preparing us to tackle the unique challenges of this industry.

 The Wadala Campus Experience

The SP Jain Wadala campus is a hub of activity, with students from various backgrounds and nationalities. The diversity here is incredible, and it adds so much to the learning experience. Whether it’s group projects, cultural events, or just hanging out at the campus café, there’s always something happening. The facilities are top-notch, providing the perfect environment for both study and relaxation.

My Takeaway So Far

As I navigate through this course, I’m constantly amazed by how much I’m learning—not just about luxury but also about myself. This program is pushing me out of my comfort zone and helping me grow in ways I never imagined. I’m gaining the confidence to think big and the skills to back it up.
